Ongoing Dilemma

I have this ongoing dilemma when it comes to blogging.  I want to be a good blogger, but my writing time is somewhat limited in this stage of life so what time I do have is spent on my weekly newspaper column.   I hate to blog without pictures, and my pictures haven't been handy lately, so again, no blogging.   I need to get into a routine of just a little bit of blogging each day, but there is a long list of things I should be getting into a routine of doing every day.  I think about how it is not a big deal to brush my teeth or take a shower, or even put on make-up, because I have done it daily for so long that not doing it would feel weird (not to mention disgusting).  But I can't seem to get into the same routine with taking my vitamins, or reading Scriptures, or even potty-training my nearly three-year-old.  As Mary Engelbreit says, "Life is just so DAILY!"   And every day I have so much more to get done than there is time to do it.  I know it will get easier again as my little ones get older, but for now, I'm doing things in bits and pieces and hoping for the best!

Someday I want to be a blogger just like my favorite blogger in all of blogland! I check this blog on a daily basis because it always makes me feel like I'm sitting in a cozy living room enjoying a sweet visit with an old friend.   Tomato Soup Cake

Tonight Nathan is watching the little ones so I can:
1. write this week's article
2. get some blogging done
3. update my website
4. go to a movie if I really want to!!

Isn't he the best hubby ever?!  Here is a picture that Phoebe took of us in June in Belize.  We didn't think she could get us in, but she did a pretty good job!  He is so darn cute!!

I don't know if it ever gets any easier. Yes, the kids grow up, but it seems new things come along that fill in the time they once needed. I totally understand about the daily things. Sometimes I feel like if I did all of the things I should be doing daily- taking vitamins and whatnot- when I'd completed the list the day would be gone. On the other hand, I get tired of feeling like I'm always behind and "should" be doing all those things.

I know what you mean!!  I think it gets a bit easier in the sense of the kids not being so "constant."  At 18 months and not quite 3  years, they are just so CONSTANT!!  lol
